The Tidewater Women's Fast-Pitch Softball League is a member of the Women's Fast-Pitch Softball Association which launched its leagues nationwide in the spring of 2010. The WFSA, a division of the National Adult Baseball Association, is recognized as an adult alternative to women's slow-pitch softball. The goal is to have a nationally based league of cities like right here in Hampton Roads playing softball under a common set of rules, with the emphasis on competition and fun.

The TWFSL will provide organized softball nationwide to adult women of all ages and abilities. If you are interested in playing on a team here in the areas of Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News, Suffolk, and Northeastern North Carolina, or starting you own team or league, please contact the TWFSL for information at twwfsl@yahoo.com.

The WFSA is poised for huge growth nationally in 2011, with 14 total leagues set to begin across 20 states. The Tidewater Women's Fast-Pitch Softball League is the only league in Southeastern Virginia.
